3 Types of DSL to Meet Your Exact Need
Standard ADSL has been around for 10 years and has changed the way America goes on-line! During that time, vast improvements have been made to traditional "Digital Subscriber Line" service. AccessCom has deployed three improved versions of the service that increase bandwidth and/or increase the distance over which DSL services can be provided.
ReachDSL
Reach Digital Subscriber Line
ReachDSL operates at a lower frequency than standard ADSL which allows the signal to travel further over typical copper lines. Bandwidth speeds can reach 960 kilobits per second for downloads. ReachDSL's unique operating characteristics gives customers, who cannot get DSL or cable, the ability to acquire a broadband service. A basic ReachDSL package including one analog line is available for $99 per month with a 3-year commitment.
SHDSL:
Symmetrical Highspeed Digital Subscriber Line
Reliable broadband connection at a GREAT price is available NOW! SHDSL bandwidth users benefit from speeds up 5.7 Mbps for both upload and download (symmetrical) per circuit. This service is ideal for e-mail and web based applications and/or services. Multiple circuits can be bonded together to achieve bandwidth in excess of 45 Mbps. Please see the AHA section for more information.
ADSL2+
Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line 2 Plus
ADSL2+ doubles the frequency of the old ADSL2 from 1.1MHz to 2.2 MHz, which results in much faster speeds than ADSL2. Download speeds of up to 25 Mbps are possible, while upload speeds can get as high as 3 Mbps, making this product excellent for triple play networks (voice, data, and video). ADSL2+ is very "distance sensitive" as its performance is inversely proportional to the wire distance from the central distribution point. Download bandwidth of up to five Mbps is available for as low as $99 with a 3-year commitment.
